Arnie Te Eng Foo Wins Eyellusion Open
Forecast for the day was rain and high winds. Maybe some wind, yes, but rain? Not a single drop as 41 players from FAGA, FilamNJ, PGANY and PGI traded shots for a chance to win the 1st Eyellusion Open Cup and Senior Open. Six Oakley sunglasses and some cash were up for grabs to the Open winner, as well as winners of closest to the pin contests courtesy of Jun Fernandez.
Arnie Te Eng Foo of FilamNJ took home the top prize with a net 65 (gross 91) to bag the Open Cup to out-shoot Noel Blumenau (gross 80) by a single stroke.
Caesar Echavez broke his long spell of misfortunes on the fairway to bag the Senior Open Cup with a net 66 (gross 98) beating his wife (no pun here) Fe by a single stroke.
It has been a long and hard journey back to the top for Echavez who struggled with his game for a for whole season since winning the 2009 Kickoff Classic, eating dusts from the likes of Bobby Bautista, Edgar Lerias, Joel Torrecampo and Ian Loleng before finding his groove once again.
Retaining his spot at the top of the LeaderBoard is Bob Zarate with 177.50 points after coming second to Fe Echavez in Class B. While barging into the top three is Blumenau after winning Class A.
