Greetings from the President
My fellow golfers,
HAPPY HOLIDAYS and Welcome to the 2008 FAGA season.
I am proud to announce that the Board of Directors have negotiated and completed our 2008 tournament schedule. In addition, we have also reserved and booked the venue for our 2008 Awards Night dinner.
Here are the courses we have for 2008
- Black Bear (Franklin, NJ)
- Long Island National (Riverhead, NY) – brunch included
- Links at Shirley (Shirley, NY) – BBQ Lunch included
- Great Gorge (Franklin, NJ)
- Tallgrass (Shoreham, NY) – voted best links course in Long Island
- Wild Turkey (Franklin, NJ) – Golf Digest Top Rated course in NJ.
- Highbridge Hills (NJ)
- Cherry Creek (Riverhead, NY)
- Rock Hill (Manorville, NY)
- Great Rock (Wading River, NY)
- Crystal Springs (Franklin, NJ) – Golf Magazine Top Rated course in NJ.
- Pine Ridge (Coram, NY) – newly built golf course in Long Island and breakfast is included.
In addition, we have negotiated the earliest possible tee times or shotgun starts. A complete overview of our tee times and schedule will be published in the FAGA website. We are currently in the process of ordering the 2008 trophies and awards. As always, we will have Major tournaments like Kick-off classic, The Open and Senior Open, The Masters Championship and The Presidents Cup. We have secured a commitment from Rallye BMW to sponsor another hole-in-one prize and are negotiating other sponsors for different outings.
It seems that we are on the right track to have another successful and fun filled golf season.
