One of the greatest characteristics of sports that has been revealed to me as I grew up in the midst of it, is the distinct ability it has to unite all its participants regardless of color, social standing and even team.

HOT and humid – that is the day’s forecast at Pine Hills and all but a few souls who believe they could snatch the Master’s trophy limbered up at the driving range hoping that the golf gods will be kind to them that day. Because this day is the first of a two-day special event which starts this year with the winner taking home the Master’s perpetual trophy and the coveted blue jacket.
