As cold and foggy turned into hot and muggy, the weather suddenly became a huge factor in every player's desire to conquer the seemingly short and easy course. The golfers, outwardly confident with their swings, had a ball looking for their golf balls in the bushes left and right, up and about water hazards.

Elmer Carido Wins Class A at Swan Lake
After three seasons with the club, Elmer Carido finally claims a championship after posting a two-shot victory over Dr. Dalmy Francisco in Swan Lake. Carido fired a net 70 (gross 85) against Dr. Francisco's net 72 (gross 82) in the longest course the club has ever played in its 4 seasons - a 7011 yard layout (from the blue tee). This marked the first time FilAm has used the championship tee and it drew some mixed reactions from the field.

Elmer Carido Shoots a Hole-In-One at Pine Hills!
Using a Honma #8 iron and Strata Tour Ace ball, Carido aced the 142-yard #17 at Pine Hills Country Club in Long Island, NY. As soon as the ball went airborne, Manny Guanio, Carido's flightmate, knew right away that it was going to be a shot-of-a-lifetime as it was headed straight to the pin. From the tee box, one can only see the upper half of the stick because of the undulation of the fairway.
